We keep cookies to the minimum needed to run the site.

The cookies we set

• sid — a strictly-necessary session cookie set when you sign in. It holds a random session token (the server stores only a hash of it), is HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax, and expires with your session. It is what keeps you signed in across pages.
• sw_sort — a functional preference cookie set only when you choose a sort order on the catalogue. It holds just the sort name (for example new) so your choice sticks between visits, is SameSite=Lax, and expires after 180 days. Clearing it simply returns the catalogue to its default order.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies. The session cookie is strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for, and the sort preference stores only a setting you chose — no consent banner is required for either under UK law.

Managing cookies
