Trade eligibility & onboarding

Who can buy from Sports Wholesale?

Sports Wholesale is a trade-only wholesaler. We supply independent sportswear and footwear retailers, online sellers, and clearance and outlet operators. We do not sell to private consumers. If you are a business buying stock to resell, you qualify. See "How do I open a trade account?" below.

How do I open a trade account?

Click Create account in the header, add your email and password, and you're in. We just ask that you're a business buying stock to resell. If you're not sure whether you qualify, see "Who can buy from Sports Wholesale?" above.

Do I need to be VAT registered to buy?

No, VAT registration is not a requirement. We welcome newer businesses and sole traders reselling on marketplaces. If you are VAT registered, let us know your VAT number.

Can EU buyers buy from Sports Wholesale?

Yes. We ship within the UK and offer ex works collection for international buyers on our UK stock. Import VAT and duty in your destination country are your responsibility as normal. We also hold stock in an EU warehouse, so if you're buying from within the EU, ask us for a separate price list. All EU warehouse orders are fulfilled locally, meaning no import duties.

Ordering & stock

How does the reservation system work?

When you add a product to your order, you're placing a reservation, not a final purchase. Once confirmed, we issue a proforma invoice by email and dispatch once payment is received. Each product shows an estimated lead time. Some stock is in our warehouse and ready to ship immediately, others have a short lead time before dispatch.

What are your minimum order quantities (MOQ)?

Our standard MOQ is 8 units per product line. If the available stock is lower than 8 units, the remaining quantity becomes the MOQ.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes, we have flexibility on larger orders. Prices already reflect wholesale trade levels, but if you're placing a sizeable order or buying regularly, get in touch. Email info@sportswholesale.co.uk or WhatsApp us with the SKUs you're interested in and we'll come back to you quickly.

Can I see availability lists before I order?

Yes. The website is the live availability list. Everything shown is either in our warehouse or on order, with lead times displayed on each product. If you'd like a spreadsheet export for a specific category or brand, get in touch and we'll send one over.

Shipping & dispatch

How quickly do you dispatch?

Dispatch times depend on the lead time shown on each product page. For stock already in our warehouse, we aim to ship within 1-2 days of receiving payment. Larger palletised orders may take a little longer. We'll give you a clear dispatch window when we confirm your invoice.

Where do you ship to?

We ship within the UK. For all other countries, terms are ex works from our UK warehouse. We also hold stock in an EU warehouse where we can arrange EU-wide shipping. Note that the product range differs between the two warehouses, get in touch for the EU price list.

What are your shipping costs?

Shipping is quoted on your invoice based on pack size, weight, and destination. A typical large carton to a UK address costs around £10 inc. VAT. Pallet deliveries are quoted individually. We don't inflate shipping, the figure you see is what the carrier charges us.

Authenticity & sourcing

Is your stock genuine?

Yes, 100% authentic. All stock is sourced through established trade channels: authorised distributors, brand clearance programmes, and long-standing trade partners in the UK and EU. Every item ships with the appropriate paperwork and provenance.

How do you verify authenticity?

Every shipment is checked on intake against supplier documentation and manufacturer references. We can provide supporting paperwork for trade buyers who need it.

Can I get invoices that satisfy Amazon or marketplace gating?

Yes. Every Sports Wholesale invoice includes the fields Amazon typically requires for brand ungating:

  • Our VAT number (GB 424528208)
  • Our Companies House number (13570843)
  • Our registered business address
  • The dated transaction
  • Itemised SKU, quantity and unit price per line

Payment & returns

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfer only.

What is your returns policy?

Our trade returns policy covers incorrectly picked items, manufacturer faults, and misdescribed stock. Notify us within 7 days of delivery and we'll arrange the return. We do not accept returns for change-of-mind on wholesale reservations. By the nature of the trade, you're committing to stock at the point of invoice. Do you dropship?

No. We buy stock, hold it in the UK, and sell it as a wholesaler should. We are not a marketplace or a dropship broker. If you're operating a dropship model you're welcome to buy from us and ship to your end customers, but the stock sits on your side. We don't warehouse on anyone's behalf.
